A local favorite, Colombier, is a secluded refuge that can only be reached by boat or a rugged 30-minute walk. But be careful! The downhill trail is deceivingly easy to get there.
If you want a livelier scene, head to St. Jean where there are plentiful people-watching prominent places like Eden Rock and Nikki Beach. You’ll find the people who surf at beaches like Toiny or Lorient as well as the snorkelers at Gouverneur or Petite Anse during the day, but for sunset, everyone will come down to Shell Beach.
